Kathy Griner, 60, of Poteau, OK, passed away October 23, 2013, in Ft. Smith, AR. She was born March 12, 1953, in Fort Smith, AR, to John E. and Patsy Marie (Patrick) Caldwell. She was a registered nurse and worked for Ki Bois in Poteau. Kathy had a kind soul, a beautiful smile, and an infectious laugh. She was a voracious reader, a lover of "the show", a loving mother, a joy to be around, and a constant giver. She was an avid blood donor, a fixture at the Special Olympics, even in death she gave by donating her organs and tissue, so many lives will be changed for the better

She was preceded in death by her father.



The family will hold a memorial service at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 26, 2013, at Springhill Baptist Church, Howe, OK, with Bro. Phil McGehee officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Mighty Lions Special Athletics at 1st National Bank Poteau/Heavener. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
