He was born in Claxton, GA, retired from The Coca Cola Company and spent his final years on St. Simons Island.
Robbie built a wonderful life with Bryan McNeill, his cherished partner of 14 years. He is also survived by his siblings Sue and Jerry Griner, four nieces and nephews, and hundreds of dear friends. He was a larger than life person that will be missed by everyone that knew him.
A celebration of Robbie's life will be at the DeLoach House in Hagan, GA, Saturday June 9th from 3 to 5pm. As a memorial tribute, donations can be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
