Eunice Griner Carrington
Eunice Griner Carrington, 97, of Tifton, died Monday, November 13, 2006 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, November 15, 2006, in the chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors with Elder Jeff Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery.
Carl Hall, Greg Jones, Mark Richardson, Otis Jones, Carlton Lupo and Allen Boyd will serve as pallbearers with Kealous Hall serving as honorary pallbearer.
Born August 18, 1909 in Irwin County to the late Daniel Griner and Catherine Henley Griner, Mrs. Carrington was also preceded in death by her husband, L.D. �Dick� Carrington, who died in February 1995.
Mrs. Carrington, who spent most of her life in Tift County, was born and died on a wrought iron bed, which remains in her daughter�s home. She was a homemaker and the oldest member of her church, Old Valley Grove Primitive Baptist Church in Irwin County. She was loving and faithful to her church, family and friends.
Mrs. Carrington is survived by one daughter and one son-in-law, Norma and Lonnie Boyd of Tifton; a special nephew, Otis Jones and his wife, Jackie Jones, of Tifton; two special nieces, Estoria Reynolds and Barbara Lupo, both of Ocilla;
