MISHAWAKA - Art M. Grubert, 72, of Mishawaka, passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2010, in Summerfield Healthcare Center, Cloverdale, IN. He was born on November 21, 1937, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Arthur Sr. and Kathleen (Hayden) Grubert.
On September 11, 1976, he married Maureen Hallinan, who survives. Along with his loving wife of 33 years, he is survived by his daughter, Renee Grubert of Mishawaka; his son, Christopher Grubert of Washington, DC; and a sister, Jeanmarie Kenny of Westchester, NY.
Mr. Grubert was the Director of International Student Affairs for the University of Notre Dame until he retired in 2003 after 19 years of service. Art enjoyed singing and performed in several operas and barber shop quartets.
