Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late James Forrest and Lily Eileen Olivia Montgomery Guest.
Mrs. Appleby was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael Episcopal Church in Easley.
Surviving are a son, Albert John Appleby III and wife Ella Binotto, Fredericksburg, VA; grandson, Robert Craig Appleby and wife, Kelli; and great grandson Luke Appleby, all of Baltimore, MD.
The graveside service will be held Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
