Anna M. Anderson, 78, Grafton, formerly of rural Stephen, died Monday Feb. 9, 2004 at Unity Hospital, Grafton.

The former Anna Mae Rose Guest was born March 30, 1925 in Ellsworth, Wis. the daughter of Grant and Catherine (Wagner) Guest. She grew up on the family farm and attended Trimbelle Grade School and Ellsworth High School in Ellsworth, Wis. Anna met Clifford E. Anderson while helping her sister Julia at her home in rural Stephen.

Clifford and Anna were married Sept. 20, 1947. Anna was a homemaker and a partner in her husband's farming business. She was an active member of Drayton Lutheran Church serving on the Altar committee, and also serving as a Sunday school teacher and Bible school teacher.

Anna was also a member of the WELCA and enjoyed quilting with her circle at the church. She also served as a 4-H leader. Clifford Anderson died on Jan. 5, 2003.

Family members include her five children Barbara (David) Forsberg, Thief River Falls, Larry (Pam) Anderson, Drayton, Jeanne Dahl, Bloomington, Craig (Terri) Anderson, Grafton; Cathy Anderson, Grafton, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three sisters, Marie (Gerry) Pechacek, Ellsworth, Wis., Mary (Sheldon) Hilden, River Falls, Wis., Dorothy (Roydie) Johnson, Ellsworth, Wis., two brothers, Frank (Leona) Guest, Loveland, Colo., and John (Donita) Guest, Kansas City, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Stella, Julia, and Florence, brothers George and Bill, and her husband Clifford.

Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 13, 2004, 11a.m. in Drayton Lutheran Church, Drayton with Rev. Ben Carlsen officiating.

Honorary pallbearers were all friends and relatives.

Active pallbearers were Luther Anderson, Brian Anderson, Michael Jensen, Gary Jensen, Michael Larson, and Ralph Craig.

Adamson-Austin Funeral Home, Drayton, assisted the family with arrangements.
