Barbara Guinn Boland was born in Ceres, California, where she graduated from Ceres High in 1948 and Modesto Junior College in 1950.  She lived in the Modesto/Turlock area her entire life.  She is preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Christine Guinn and her husband Edward Boland.  She leaves behind a daughter Sandra Drumeller, a son Kevin Boland, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. 

Barbara was a lifelong member of California State Horsemen's Association, where she was chairman of the Miss CSHA Queen Pageant.  Additionally, for 28 years, she was chairman of the annual CSHA Day at the Races which she enthusiastically looked forward to planning year after year.  She enjoyed horse racing, fly fishing, and traveling to Lake Tahoe.  Barbara loved the holiday season which she so lovingly expressed through her extravagant decorations and the entertaining she did for family and friends alike.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday July 21, 2015 at Eaton Family Funeral Home, Modesto from 5-8 p.m.  Barbara will be laid to rest on Wednesday July 22, 2015 at San Joaquin National Cemetery in Santa Nella at 11:00 a.m.
