ELIZABETH ELNORA GUIST, was born to George Guist ans Lorena (Wells) Guist on June-20-1850 in Viroqua, Vernon Co., Wisconsin (was part of Crawford Co. at the time)She died June-06-1904, Readstown, Vernon Co., Wisconsin. Her death was the result of being thrown from a runaway horse and buggy.

After her mothers death, Elizabeth was raised by her uncle and aunt, Nyram and Sarah Wells and by her grandmother Eleanor Rundle Wells. On the 1870 census she appears with both her fathers new family in Clinton and with her grandmother in Viroqua.

On October 21, 1871, she was united in marriage to John Franklin Hall, and to this union ten children were born:
