Thomas W. Hackett of Wareham, formerly of Weymouth and Hingham, passed away July 4, 2015. Beloved husband of 54 years to Lauretta Hackett of Wareham, he was the loving father of Kathy Lucas and her husband Michael of Pembroke and Susan Dillon and her husband John of Pembroke; cherished Ampy of Kayleigh, Kyle, Abigail, Molly, Maxwell and Joshua; dear brother of the late Jane Woodworth, Robert Bobby Hackett and Katherine Newbrough. Tom is also survived by many loving relatives and friends. Tom proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Weymouth High School 1950 undefeated football team that played in the Gator Bowl. He was also a member of the Weymouth Elks. Tom worked for the Hood Milk Company in Quincy and then at the Talbots Company before retiring. In his spare time, Tom loved golfing, gardening and vacationing in Florida. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Thursday 4-7 p.m. in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, at 809 Main Street (Rte. 18 opposite So. Shore Hospital), South Weymouth. A funeral service will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home. A burial in will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Donations may be made in Toms memory to either Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 220 N.
