ALLAN _ Alberta Jean (nee Haden) 1911 - 2004. Alberta Jean Allan passed away peacefully at the Royal Park (Carewest) on December 13, 2004 at the age of 93 years. She is survived by her sons and their families. One of Jean's greatest joys was her grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous cousins, stepchildren, and step-grandchildren. Jean was predeceased by her first husband Andrew Fraser and by her second husband George Allan. Jean was born in Calgary, AB on September 18, 1911. She lived in Calgary until 1942 when she and Andrew moved to Vancouver, BC. She raised her children in Vancouver and lived on the Coast until she returned to Calgary in 2000. Jean was a wonderful loving mother and grandmother. She had time and love to give to any child and often helped out those who needed extra care. Jean's other interests included gardening, reading, sewing, knitting, cooking, and in the last year of her life painting. She will always be remembered for her love, determination and positive outlook on life.
