Our loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, Esther Adams, passed away December 29, 2012 after an extended illness.

Esther was born June 27, 1929 in Vernal, Utah to Ferry Le Roy and Jennie Steele Hadlock, and married in the Salt Lake City Temple on December 22, 1961 to Daniel Stanley Adams, Jr. She served an LDS mission to Independence, MO, earned a B.A. in Physical Education from B.Y.U., and worked as a teacher and X-ray technician. She was also an accomplished swimmer and diver, and an active member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

Ever-devoted to her faith, family, and friends, Esther enthusiastically attended family events, always ready to celebrate with a gift or card. She immersed herself in genealogy, loved travel and nature, and enjoyed the simple beauties in life, like flowers, sunsets, and observing the phases of the moon.

Survived by her children, Joseph, Weslie (Karen), Marilyn Montag, Holly; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren (and growing!); siblings, Milo (Jackie) Hadlock, LaRue (Douglas) Woodbury, Anthony (Tett) Hadlock; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Esther was preceded in death by her husband; siblings Ferry (Pearl) Hadlock, Hattie (Ralph H.) Lee, and Jenny Brown.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 4th, 2:00 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at the mortuary, and one hour prior to services.
