"Our beloved Annetta Fern Hadlock Brooks passed away June 23, 2003 after a long illness.

Fern, the fourth of six children, was born December 10, 1918 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Clarence Curtis Hadlock and Sarah Florence Drinkwater. She married Carl Vernon Brooks on March 30, 1936. He preceded her in death in June, 1998. She was an active member of the LDS Church and was later sealed to her husband in the West Jordan Temple. Her family was the most important focus of her life.

Fern worked many years as a supervisor at Sorenson Research and Abbott Laboratories in Murray, Utah where she was affectionately called "Mom". She touched so many lives with her Christ like love and service daily. Her silky baby quilts have offered comfort and security to many babies through literally generations. She was active in her community, including working elections in her district.

Survived by one son, .....; eight grandchildren, ....; 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; two sisters; ....; and one sister-in-law, .... Preceded in death by parents, husband, daughter ... and her husband ..., and two grandchildren,

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 27, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at Lake Hills Mortuary, 10055 South State Street, Sandy, Utah, friends may call one hour prior to service. A viewing will be held Thursday night from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment at Lake Hills Cemetery."
