Mrs. Bernard Alma Hafeman, 81, of the Shady Lane Home since Nov. 13, 1978, died Friday afternoon, Dec. 28, at Holy Family Hospital.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Larry Ellenberger will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Hafeman was born Feb. 27, 1898, in the Town of Liberty, in Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Ernest and Christine Carsten Wehausen. She was educated at
Liberty Schools and was a lifelong resident of the Manitowoc area. She was married to Reinbold Bauch Sept. 29, 1922. He preceded her in death Jan. 3 1958.
She then married Bernard Hafeman March 9, 1963, at Minnesota. Their former address was 3615 MacArthur, Manitowoc. She was a Manitowoc Homemaker and a member of the
Ladies Aid Society of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church and a member of the Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Bernard, two sisters, Mrs. Lydia Jacobson and Mrs. Ida Schwanke of Manitowoc, many nieces and nephews. A sister and two brothers preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Parkside Funeral Home, 3:30 to 9 o'clock this Sunday evening and Monday 8:30 to 11:30 am. and at the church from noontill hour of service.
