BERNARD W. HAFEMAN

Mr. Bernard W. Hafeman, 87, a resident of Park Lawn Nursing Home, died Sunday evening, May 20, at the nursing home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. Larry Ellenberger will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Hafeman was born August 10, 1896, at Casco, Wisconsin, son of the late Karl and Emelia Reduenz Hafeman. Mr. Hafeman was a salesman for the Hostess Cake Company for many years, retiring in 1959. He married the former Florence Garbright in 1932. She preceded him in death May 17, 1960. He then married Alma Wehausen Bauch on March 9, 1963, at Minnesota. She preceded him in death December 28, 1979. Mr. Hafeman was a member of Fish and Game Association, The United Commercial Travelers Association and Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a sister, Esther Hackbarth of Berrington, Wisconsin; five sisters-in-law, Lydia Jacobson and Ida Schwanke both of Manitowoc, Alvina Hanneman of Peshtigo, Irene Stueck of Mishicot and Dora Hanneman of Pound, Wisconsin; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survived. He was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
There will be no Tuesday evening visitation at the funeral home. Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc is in charge of arrangements. Memorials would be appreciated to Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church.
