Ruby Mae Barnett, 76, of Danville died May 28, 2010, at Boone Memorial Hospital, Madison.

She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her son, Harry Lee Barnett.

She is survived by her husband, Harry Barnett; children, Sadie Elizabeth Keyes of Laplata, Md., Sandra Kay Aldridge of Wilmington, N.C., Julie Ann Hill of Foster, Billy Ray Barnett of Danville, Patty Sue Hager of Nebo, N.C., and Shirley Mae Barnett of Danville; brothers, Ralph, Don, and J. B. Hagerman; sisters, Peggy Estep, JoAnn Peterson, Linda Cole and Faye Mahone; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and special great-niece/daughter, Jennie Cook.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, with the Rev. Geoff Saunders officiating. Burial will follow at Mullins Cemetery, Danville.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family expenses.
