MRS. HAGERMAN.

- Mrs. Catherine Hagerman died Saturday night at 6:40 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Rode, 807, West Grove street, after a long illness of dropsy.

She was a native of Germany, her maiden name being Peters, and her birthplace Holstein. She was 69 years and three months.

Mrs. Hagerman was married to Henry Johnson at Holstein and in a short time when she was about 25 years of age, moved with her husband to this country and settled near Peoria where Mr. Johnson died about thirty years ago. Six children were born to this marriage and only two survive;
Mrs. Rode
and Miss Lena Johnson, both of this city.
There are also four grandchildren, children of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Johnson, who are both dead.

July 20, 1872, Mrs. Johnson was married to Mr. Paul Hagerman at Peoria and they moved to this city shortly after, Mr. Hagerman engaging in the contracting business. One child was born but died at the age of 11 years.

There are five children of Mr. Hagerman who survive, two in New York and three in Chicago.

Mrs. Hagerman was a consistent member of the German Methodist church for over 30 years and was a woman who was well liked in her neighborhood. The funeral is announced elsewhere.
