He graduated from Carson City High School in 1970. Kim married his high school sweet heart, Sandra Bennett on November 7, 1970 at the Carson City Congregational Church.
He worked for Oldsmobile in Lansing before retiring in 2007. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife Sandra of Carson City, daughter Kate (Jeremy) Yahr of Benton Harbor, grandson Gunnar Lee Yahr, parents Ed and Barbara Hagerman, brother Jim (Julie) Hagerman of Carson City. Also nephew Cody (Sara) Hagerman, niece Tiffany (Larry) Holey, mother and father-in-law Lewie and Beverly Bennett, special cousin Mike (Betty) Hagerman and many brothers and sisters-in-law.
Memorial services were held Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson City with Pastor Steve Adamson officiating.
