Mankato resident Violet Bartell, 89, of Mankato, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, at St. Peter Community Health Services.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Mankato, the Rev. Charles Ortloff officiating. Burial is in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
Visitation is one hour before services Saturday at the church. Landkamer Johnson-Boman Funeral Home in Mankato is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Bartell was born July 16, 1912, to Albert and Lena (Niebel) Hagerman at Mankato. She was a graduate of Mankato High School. She married Perry Bartell Aug. 31, 1935. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed feeding and watching birds. Mrs. Bartell is survived by three sons and their wives, Bill and Nancy and Mark and Mindy, all of Mankato, and Matt and Amy of Waconia; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, two brothers and one sister.
