Elaine M. Frank, 84, of Eau Claire died on Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at Clairemont Nursing and Rehabilitation.
She was born in Eau Claire on April 17, 1923, the daughter of Maurice and Hazel (Hendrickson) Hagman. She graduated from St. Patrick's High School with the class of 1940. Elaine married Gerald "Gerry" J. Frank at St. James Catholic Church on June 9, 1973.
After high school she worked for the draft board, Presto Industries and Northwestern Mutual. She then worked 18 years as secretary at Northern States Power until her retirement in 1975. Elaine loved her gardening, her beautiful flowers including violets, lilies, and other flowers, and caring for her friends.
Elaine is survived by her husband, Gerry; two stepdaughters, Mary Frank of Bloomer and Betsy (James) Olinger of Eau Claire; six grandchildren, David (Kim) Olinger, Daniel (Denyl) Olinger, Mike (Bonnie) Armstrong, Geri (Garry) Brown, John Armstrong, and Jim (Jane) Armstrong; six great-grandchildren, Nicole Brown; Jake, Josh, Jared, Cailin, and Faith Armstrong; brother, Br. Edward Hagman, O.F.M.Cap. of Madison; and she also is survived by various cousins in the United States and Germany.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, James Hagman.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 24, 2008, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, with Father John A. Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Eau Claire. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Monday at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, 2502 11th St., Eau Claire.
