Ruth M. Adams, passed away on June 28, 2004 in Columbus, Ohio. Member of Rhema Christian Center where she served Treasurer of the Prison Ministry. Beautician at Distinguished Look Beauty Shop. Preceded in death by parents Gordon and Marguerite (Neil) Hairston, son David Adams, sister Martha Jane Freeman, brother Gordon Hairston, Jr. and granddaughter Aretha Johnson. She leaves to mourn her passing, sons, James (Vanessa) Adams, Jr., Gordon Adams and Steven (Loretta) Adams; daughters, Mae (Keith) McCauley and Carolene Adams; sister, Caroline S. Moss; brother, Paul R. (Laura) Hairston; niece, Retha Freeman; 16 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday at Rhema Christian Center, 2100 Agler Rd. Pastor Lafayette Scales, officiating. Family will receive friends Friday at the church 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment Kingwood Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E. LONG. ST.
