Donna Hairston, 54, of Fort Payne, passed Saturday, September 17, 2016 at her home. She was born March 24, 1962 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee to the late Glenn P. and Dorothy Gregory Stophel. Donna was a member of Wills Valley Community Church. She was a beloved teacher, both at Wills Valley Elementary School and years ago at Bright Beginnings Preschool.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Andy Hairston; children, Candace and Tony Dorsett, Andrew and Jessi Hairston, Josh and Liz Hairston, and Brandon “BB” and Melinda Hairston; and several brothers and sisters. She was Mama D to many.
A Celebration of Life service was held at 5 p.m. Monday, September 19th at Wills Valley Community Church with Rev. Denny Mashburn officiating. Graveside services followed in Walkers Chapel Cemetery.
