On August 15, 1958 she married Lowell R. Allen in the Idaho Fall Idaho temple. They were blessed with five children Cheri, Paul, Dean, David, and Denise. They moved to Twin Falls, then to Bountiful, UT before returning to Pocatello, in 1966, where they raised their children. Janine was active in the live’s of her children and inspired many with her happy disposition and love of life and learning.
Janine loved to serve her neighbors and family, she loved to cook, knit, paint and teach painting. Her greatest joy was to be a wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and she held callings in the ward and Stake Relief Society, ward primary, and Cub Scouting.
She is survived by her husband Lowell of Rexburg; children Cheri (Allen) Barlow of Nashville, Tennessee, Dean (Becky) Allen of Rexburg, David (Lisa) Allen of Rexburg; Denise (Travis) Bell of Pocatello; a brother Robert (Sydnie) Haislip of Pocatello; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Paul.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, at the Millhollow 1st Ward LDS Chapel, 315 Gary Drive, in Rexburg. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery in Pocatello at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday under the direction of Flamm Funeral Home.
