Sammie Gail Anderton, age 64, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2008, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Born in Duncan, Oklahoma, on August 21, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Jackalyn (Walker) Haislip.
Mrs. Anderton was a homemaker and had been a resident of Heber Springs since 1979. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include her husband, James Douglas Anderton of Heber Springs; three sons, Sam Anderton and James Anderton, II, both of Heber Springs, and Eric Anderton of Quitman; and eight grandchildren, Nathaniel, Samantha, Ethan, Jonathan, Robert, Dylan, Caitlin, and Lexie. Mrs. Anderton is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.
