She was born on May 31, 1944, at Dallas, Texas, daughter of James C. Jr. and Sarah Josephine Cleary Haislip. She grew up in Dallas and graduated form W. W. Samuell High School in Dallas, Texas. She moved to Kansas City and was employed as a secretary for the advertising department for KCTV 5 in Kansas City for several years.
On November 4, 1979, she was united in marriage to George Bartholomaeus in Kansas City. Following their marriage they made their home in Kansas City until 1985 when they moved to Warsaw. She was a member of the Urbandale Christian Church of Dallas, Texas, and a member of the Ladies of Harley-Central Missouri Sedalia Chapter.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband George, of the home; one son Michael Carpenter of Ft. Irwin, California; four daughters, Cara Kiner of St. Joseph, Lisa Carpenter of Kansas City, Stacey Bartholomaeus of Liberty, and Dana Thompson of Ft. Wiley, Kansas; 10 grandchildren and one brother, Doug Haislip of Atlanta, Georgia; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 20 at Reser Funeral Chapel in Warsaw. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Warsaw.
