MRS. ALIDA HALL
Death at Samaritan Hospital of Young Woman Born in Bennington.
Mrs. Alida K. Hall, wife of Hiram Hall, died in the Samaritan hospital in Troy Monday after an operation, performed Wednesday. She was apparently improving when heart failure set in.
The announcement came as a surprise to her many friends here where most of her life had been spent.
Mrs. Hall was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Almon R. Sweet of School street. She was 27 years of age. She was married several years ago and about two years ago since Mr. and Mrs. Hall went to Hoosick Falls to live, mr. Hall having a responsible position with the Superior Knitting company. Her health had not been of the best for some time and it was thought an operation might benefit her.
Previous to leaving here Mrs. Hall was a valued member of the Second Congregational church. After locating in Hoosick Falls she became a member of the Presbyterian church of that village, and at the time of her death was chairman of the missionary committee of the Y.P.S.C.E., and was a member of the woman's benevolent society.
Beside her husband, she is survived by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.
Her funeral was largely attended Wednesday morning. There were many beautiful floral tributes from relatives and friends. Rev. E.P. Berry of Hoosick Falls officiated. The remains were brought to Bennington for interment in the village cemetery.∼Wife of Hiram L. Hall
