NORFOLK - Elizabeth M "Liz" Halme, 79, died March 4, 2001, in a local hospital. A native of Virginia, she worked many years for the United States Civil Service before her retirement.
Mrs. Halme is survived by her husband, George Halme; her children, Patricia Alberts, Larry Hotchkiss and Michael Hotchkiss; her brother, John Contos; her grandsons, Chris Alberts, David Hotchkiss and Brian Hotchkiss; her great-grandson, Brenden Hotchkiss; and several loved nephews and nieces.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Pius The X Catholic Church, Norfolk, with Father R. Francis Muench officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will meet friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Altmeyer Funeral Home, Virginia Beach, is in charge. It is asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to one's favorite charity.
