George Halme, 93, quietly passed away Jan. 18, 2004. He was a heat treater for many years at the Norfolk Naval Base and was predeceased by his first wife, Billie and by his second wife, Liz.
Survivors include his brother, Walter Halme; nieces, Eleanora Glenn, Margaret Halme, Virginia Shaw, Teresa Moore and Regina Yeates; nephews, Victor Halme, Dean Halme and William Koerner; stepchildren, Patricia Alberts, Larry Hotchkiss and Michael Hotchkiss; his grandsons, Chris Alberts, David Hotchkiss and Brian Hotchkiss; and great-grandchildren, Brendon Hotchkiss, Hailey Hotchkiss and Hannah Hotchkiss.
A funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Ocean View Baptist Church by John W. Williams III with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In place of flowers, please make a donation to a favorite charity. Altmeyer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
