Mrs. Beulah Mae Hamblin Armentrout age 84 years a former resident of 109 Locust Street in Belington and more recently a resident of the Barbour County Good Samaritan Center, departed this life, 3:55pm, Sunday July 1, 2007 at the care center. She had been in declining health for the past several months. She was born September 19, 1922 in Dublin, VA a daughter of the late Stewart and Emma Hamblin. On July 25, 1941 in Radford, VA she was united in marriage to the late Melvin Paul Armentrout who preceded her in death on December 23rd 2006. Mrs. Armentrout is survived by two daughter, Phyllis Phillips of Belington and Bonnie Cox of Elkins, one sister Maude Caldwell of Radford, VA, sisters-in-law, Betty Dolly and husband Gene, Bernice Haller, Imogene Everson and husband Fred, Kathleen Wilmoth, Lucille Armentrout, Edith Trozzo and Nellie Digman . Also surviving are seven grandchildren Victor Phillips, Allen Phillips and wife Lisa, Billy Cox and wife Frances, Richard Cox and wife Mary Beth, David Cox Shelly Canfield, and Husband Eric, and Kelly Carpenter and husband Ronny, eight great grandchildren, and her loving pet cat Sassy.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers Roy Hamblin, Albert Hamblin one sister Ruby Hamblin and two sons-in-law Ralph Cox Sr. and Neil Phillips. Mrs. Armentrout attended the schools of Bell Spring VA, and was a former member of the Belington Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. In her former years along with her husband Melvin worked with the Cub Scouts as den leaders. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Westside United Methodist Church. Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home at 210 Brandenburg Street in Belington on Tuesday, July 3rd, from 6 to 9 pm and on Wednesday, until 2pm the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Leon Heavener, and Rev. Robert Baer, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Fraternal Cemetery near Belington .The Talbott Funeral Home in Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Beulah Mae Armentrout.
