Grand Island Woman Passes, Age 48

Mrs. Leota Asher died Friday at her home at Grand Island, at the age of 48. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Hopewell church, and burial was in the cemetery at Hopewell. The Rev. Ballentine officiated.

Mrs. Asher, who had lived at Grand Island for the past 11 years, was born in Keystone, Okla., Sept. 22, 1890, the daughter of John and Mina Hamblin. She was married to George Asher in Vancouver, Wash., in 1911.

She is survived by three sons, Orvil, Elvin and Kenneth, and a daughter Lois, all of Grand Island.
