YARMOUTH
Ebenezer R Hamblin was found dead in his home in Yarmouth on Monday afternoon of last week.He had been ill for several weeks.He was born in this town July 6, 1840 son of Joshua and Olive (Ryder) Hamblin.For some years he followed the sea and at one time was in the Federal Lightship Service.Aug 26th 1872 he married Mary A Eldridge of Ashfield,whom he survived a number of years. A sister, Mrs Anna Lewis Whitehead of Simsbury Conn.,for many years previous to her marriage a teacher in the public schools here, survives him.The tragedy of Mr Hamblin's life was the sudden taking away of his only child,Joshua Allen Hamblin,a promising young man who had graduated from the Yarmouth High School in 1893 and who had entered college.
