Marlene, age 76, passed away at Orange Regional Medical Center Horton Campus. She was the daughter of Edmund F. and Evelyn D. (Sherow) Hammond. She married Edgar Ayers then married Robert Worrell.
Survivors include her sons, Wayne Ayers and Scott Ayers, three grandsons, two great-grandchildren, her sister, Jane Smith, and her stepdaughter, Marilee Worrell.
She was preceded in death by both husbands and her parents.
A funeral mass was held at Holy Name of Mary Church in Montgomery. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Montgomery.
