ARCOLA — Brian "Hondo" Andrew Hanley, 29, of Arcola died at 8:05 p.m. Saturday (April 21, 1990) in Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, the result of injuries sustained in an auto accident.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Arcola First Christian Church with the Rev. Terry Ford officiating. Burial will be in Arcola Cemetery. visitation will be from 5 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Shrader Funeral Home, Arcola.
He was born Dec. 15, 1960, in Tuscola, the son of Leland and Betty Short Hanley. He married Jana Moore in 1983; she survives.
Also surviving are his mother of Arcola; and two sisters, Mrs. Gerald (Leiann) Gapa of Oswego and Cynthia Hanley of Arcola. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister.
Mr. Hanley was a student at the University of Illinois working toward a doctorate degree in biochemistry. He was a member of the Bio-chemistry Club and the Arcola First Christian Church. Memorials may be made to the Arcola Foundation, the Arcola First Christian Church or the Arcola United Methodist Church.
