Leland Darrell Hanley

ARCOLA, Ill. — Leland Darrell Hanley, 47, of Arcola, died at 4:30 p.m. Friday at his home. Death apparently was due to a heart attack.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Shrader Funeral Home in Arcola with Rev. John Genn and Rev. Onis Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Arcola Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.

Mr. Hanley was employed at the U.S. Industrial Chemicals Co. plant at Tuscola. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of the American Legion and the Arcola Methodist Church.

He was born Feb. 8, 1921, at Mattoon, the son of Fred and Corine Goodman Hanley. He was married to Betty Jean Short at Arcola on Sept. 9, 1950.

He is survived by his widow; a son, Bryan and two daughters, Leiann and Cynthia, all at home; and a sister, Mrs. Louis Fisher of Decatur.
