Son of George M. Hanover, Sr. and Reva (Morgan) Hanover
Brother of George Edward Hanover, George M. Hanover, Jr. and Thelma (Hanover) Truby
Stepmother:Lucille (Prouty) Hanover

Herbert Roy is supposedly buried in an unmarked grave in Greenwood Cemetery. He died of "brain fever" in a Lincoln, Illinois hospital. My dad, George M. Hanover, Jr., was very young when Herbert died. However, he could remember visiting Herbert in the hospital. He said that Herbert kept repeating "I want to go home". How sad! After much searching through hundreds of old photos, I have finally found a photo with Herbert in it. The photo at right includes George M. Sr, Lucille (Prouty) Hanover, Thelma (Hanover) Truby, Herbert Roy Hanover, George Edward Hanover and George M. Hanover, Jr. Herbert is the oldest boy in the photo. My dad, George M. Jr., is the little fellow.
