Amelia Hansman who was living on the Charles Mott Farm in Wayne Township, a mile and a half from Glenwood committed suidcide on Tuesday afternoon.

It is said that the husband Martin and older sons went to work early that morning, and her daughter Anna went to school. When they returned that evening they found her hanging. Apparently she had also slashed her wrists and neck while she was in her bedroom. Blood was all over the bed. They say she was distraught, she had left a note stating that she was stumbling block and was tired of life. She was 43 years old. She had 10 children of whom 4 were living.

She has been buried all these years and her daughter never told anyone in the family. Her Great Granddaughter, Olivia Gordon-Stewart found her grave, with no stone or flowers in 1993. She had been an embarrassement to the family.
