Frank Albert "Bud" Hansman, 87, died Thursday, January 26, 2006 at his home. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 31 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, of which he was a member. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.
Frank was born on July 23, 1918, to Frank Albert and Mary E. Grassman Hansman in Des Moines. He was a graduate of Dowling High School. Frank was an army veteran of World War II, serving from July 5, 1942, until he was honorably discharged on February 8, 1946. He married Ruth Mildred Erickson.
Frank is survived by several nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, a son, his wife, Ruth M. Hansman in 1994; and two sisters, Mary Louise Hansman and Ruth Menough.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, January 30, at Iles Funeral Homes – Westover Chapel, where a Rosary service will begin at 6 p.m. Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
