Betty Z. Dye, 73, of Big Springs, died Friday, Apr. 9, 1999, at St.
Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg.
She was born in Big Springs, the daughter of the late Frank and Artie
Cunningham Hardman. She was a member of Beech Valley United Methodist
Church, Big Springs, and was a former grandmother at Pleasant Hill
and Brooksville Elementary schools.
Surviving are five sons, Gerald, Terry and Perry Dye, all of Big
Springs, Larry Dye of Williamstown and Pat Dye of Five Forks; four
sisters, Alta Richards of Georgia, Kate Richards of Big Springs and
Armetta Schedell and Jean Smith, both of Ohio; three brothers, George
Hardman of Grantsville, Ronzel Hardman of Mt. Zion and Tom Hardman,
address unknown; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Dye, and one
daughter, Rev. Phillis Dye.
Services were held at Beech Valley United Methodist Church, Big
Springs, with Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Burial was in Big Springs
Cemetery.
