Mrs. I.S. Alton Dead
Mrs. Hannah Alton, Wife of I.S. Alton, living in Kellogg, died yesterday afternoon at three o'clock from a lingering illness.

She had been a sufferer and a most patient sufferer for a number of years.

In the death of Mrs. Alton, Winfield has lost a true Christian character. The beautiful life she exemplified to her friends and associates will never be forgotten and left a deep imprint to all. She was converted in early life and united with the Church of Christ.

She was sixty-five years of age. In company with her husband she came to Kansas from Iowa in 1875. About two years ago Mr. and Mrs. Alton moved from Winfield to Kellogg, where Mr. Alton conducts a general store.

The surviving relatives are the husband, two sons, Glen and Clyde Alton, one daughter, Mrs. H.F. Southwick of Garber,Okla., a sister, Mrs. H.C. Hawkins and two brothers, Hugh Harlan of this city and E.L. Harlan of Milan.

Three children, Jessie, Maxwell and John, having preceded her in death a number of years ago.

The funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 10:30 o'clock in charge of Rev. L.D. Moffett, from the Church of Christ. Interment will be made in Union cemetery.
