General Harlan was prominently identified with the military and political history of Illinois and was one of the leaders of Springfield's social life.
Surviving Mrs. Harlan are one son, Edgar A. Harlan, with whom she made her home, and two sisters, Mrs. Emily C. Baker, of this city, and Mrs. Lena Huggins, of Kinmundy.
