Jean was a bookkeeper at Airtex and later worked at Dean's Flowers and Stein's Flowers. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Carmi, Lydia Sunday School Class and 55 And Alive.
Jean is survived by her husband of 63 years, Clyde Brown of Carmi; a daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Mike Loomis and a son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Julia Brown, all of Carmi; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Helen Blackmer of Cumberland Hill, R.I., Ann and Max Green and Reta and Preston Mathews, all of Fairfield; a brother and sister-in-law, William "Sid" and Jeannie Harlan of Marion; four grandchildren, Megan (Matt) Campbell, Katie (Matt) Whetstone, Brianna Brown and Aaron Brown; and one great-grandson, Zane Campbell. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Michael Loomis and a sister, Betty Hill.
