BRIMFIELD - Betty Harlan Coon, 71, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, at Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, Wash.
Betty Rae was born in Peoria on Feb. 16, 1943, to Ray W. and Norma Fox Harlan.
She was the valedictorian of her graduating class at Brimfield High School.
Betty was an elementary school teacher in Urbana, Il. and Pullman, Wash.
Betty Rae married David L. Coon on Aug. 25, 1962, in Brimfield.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Lara (Dr. David) Anderson; sisters, Kay Habil and Janet Harlan; and brother, Charles Harlan.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Norvin.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
