Born May 26, 1950 in Eureka, Kansas to Deloris & Leonard Bonczkowski. In her early childhood years her Mom remarried Chester Shockley and she grew up with him being her loving father. Carolyn was married twice in her life once to Ronald Steyer and then to Andrew Harmon, were she had two children, first daughter, Denise Darlene and second, son Chester Chas Vernon Harmon. She became a widow at an early age shortly after having Chester and was left to raise her two children on her own; she did everything to make sure her children had what they needed, even if it meant she would do without. She had many "Loves" come into her life and even a few proposals, but she never remarried. She had six siblings, Jim, Rosa Lee, Judy, JoAnn, John and Patricia. She lived most of her life in Yucaipa/Redlands, California area, where she raised her children until they were married. She loved to watch her children clog dance and would always talk about it. Her children gave her eight grandchildren, one step-grandson and one grandbaby on the way. She loved her grandchildren, Samantha, Megan, Nicole, Taylor, Michelle, Blake, Amiah, Chase and Jacob. She loved to talk to them and play with them. She loved her family. She was so happy to see her children get married; Denise married to Ryan, she loved Ryan and enjoyed talking to with him. She loved Kortney and how much she would help her with things. As her life passed before her eyes, she became ill and always Fought to try to get better; she could never understand "why" this was happening to her. Her doctor said she was a fighter and even though she did not want to make life changes, she did what she had to adjust to change. As ornery as she was, she was loved. She loved country music and always wanted to learn the "Cowboy Cha Cha" dance, she also loved the mountains.
