ALLEN, DORIS JEAN, 70, of Jeffersontown, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2009, at Baptist Hospital East Palliative Care. She was the former Doris Harris and a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Allen; her mother, Virginia Harris; and two sons, John Allen Jr. and Mark K. Allen. She is survived by her children, Charles Allen (Pam), Troy Allen (Devona) and Stacy Hutchison (Officer Dale Hutchison of the Jeffersontown Police Department); her father, Henry Arthur Harris; sisters, Betty Malone and Joyce Gravett; grandchildren, Michelle Allen, Dale Jr., Mathew and Casey Hutchison, Matt and Zach Rogers and Scott and Shane Meyer; and great-granddaughter, Emily Morgan Hutchison. Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Owen Funeral HomeJeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
