Mrs. Emily Alverson, 93 years old, one of the best known women in Jessamine county and one of the oldest residents, died at her home near Hanly, Friday, Nov. 26. She was the widow of the late Henry Alverson and is survived by two daughters, Miss Louella Alverson, of this county, and Mrs. Sallie Martin, of Columbus, Ohio; three sons, Smith and Henry Alverson, of this county and John Alverson, of St. Joseph, Mo. Funeral services were held at Roberts Chapel Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J. E. Moss. The body was buried in Nicholasville Cemetery. Dec. 3, 1920 issue of The Jessamine Journal.
