Ilion, NY - Mrs. Catherine H. Bean, 77, former school teacher, died April 16, 1953, in her home, 11 S. Forth Ave., after a long illness. She was born March 2, 1876 in Lion, daughter of Michael and Ann Donlin Hartford. She was married to Daniel F. Bean, November 24, 1910 in Lion. She gradulated from Ilion High School in 1893 and attended Utica Teacher's Training School. She taught in Wetmore School, Utica and in schools of Starkville and Ilion for more than 15 years. She was a member of the Church of Annunciation and the Woman's Associate Board of ilion Hospital. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Daniel, Ilion; three sisters, Miss Olive Hartford, Mrs. Romaine Julian, both of Ilion and Mrs. George Carney, Utica; five nephews and two nieces. funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in Applegate Funeral Home and at 9:30 in Church of Annunciation.
