A lifelong area resident, she was born Nov. 26, 1910, in Jamestown, the daughter of John and Ethel Tanfield Hartford. She was a member of Pilgrim Memorial United Church of Christ and its Women's Guild and Bethany Group. She also remained active in the Retired Cafeteria Group. She is survived by a son, Stephen G. Anderson of Liverpool, N.Y.; three grandchildren: Kelli S., Ashley M., and Drew S. Anderson, all of Liverpool; and a sister, Ethel Anderson of Jamestown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hilding W. ''Ding'' Anderson, whom she married Aug. 31, 1940, and who died Sept. 11, 2001; and a brother, Stanley Hartford.
