Kathleen Hartnett Andrews, 70, of Cortland passed away unexpectedly November 5, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse. She was born April 17, 1942 in Cortland the daughter of the late James and Mary Keenan Hartnett.
Ms. Andrews was raised and educated locally graduating from Cortland High School in 1960. She attended Cortland State University graduating in 1964 with a degree in Elementary Education. She spent her career as a pre school teacher, teaching at the Cortland YMCA and St. Mary's School until retiring in June 2010.
Ms. Andrews enjoyed gardening, working in her yard, and caring for her dog Annie. She will be remembered by her family and friends as dedicated mother, grandmother, and teacher who touched many lives.
She is survived by her sons Michael (Kimberly) Andrews of Suwanee GA, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Andrews of Homer NY, her daughter Christina (Michael Straight) Andrews of Queensbury NY, her sisters Patricia Snyder of Syracuse, Mary (Michael) Morris of Fayetteville NY, her grandchildren Kaitlin and Kiara, Jacob, Padraic and Brendan, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 10:00 am at St. Mary's Church, Cortland. Burial will follow at the St. Mary's Cemetery.
