Mary E. Beffa, 92, of Rockford passed away Friday, January 8, 2016. Born September 6, 1923, in Rockford, the daughter of Joseph B. and Ellen (Hyland) Hartnett. Married Charles A. Beffa on June 21, 1953, in Aurora. Employed as a dietician at Rockford Memorial Hospital, OSF St. Anthony Medical Center and SwedishAmerican Hospital. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church and Catholic Women's Club.

Survivors include son, James (Hilary) Beffa of California; daughter, Margaret (Michael) Cross of Naperville; grandchildren, Matthew, Stephen, Jason and Randall; sister-in-law, Peggy Hartnett; numerous nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her husband; sister, Patricia Loftus; and brother, Joseph Hartnett.

Arrangements are pending at Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., Loves Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Presence Saint Anne Center or Holy Family Church for masses.
