Hartnett, age 78, Army Veteran, Graduate of St. Ignatius High School, Class of 1954, longtime agent with Allstate Insurance; beloved husband of Kay, nee Mahoney; loving father of Michael, Martin, Sean (Shannon) and Margaret Markovic; proud grandfather of Hannah, Kate & Sarah Hartnett and Allison and Aidan Markovic; dear brother of Mary (the late Phil) Saigh and the late Jerome Hartnett; dear uncle of many nieces and nephews and fond cousin of many in Ireland. Visitation Sunday, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday, 8:00 a.m. until time of funeral 9:00 a.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. at Saint Michael Catholic Church, Wheaton. Committal Service Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside.
