Joseph B. Hartnett, age 89, of Aurora, IL, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015. Joe was born in Rockford, IL on March 9, 1926. He served his country as a lieutenant during WWII in the United States Army, and he loved his job working at Home Depot for 14 years. Joe is survived by his loving wife; Peggy A. (nee Sullivan) Hartnett, sister; Mary Beffa, many nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; Joseph and Ellen (nee Hyland) Hartntett, Sr. and sister; Patricia Loftus. Visitation Friday, September 4, 10:00 a.m. until time of service 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 701 S Eola Road, Aurora, IL. Interment Saturday, 11:30 a.m., Calvary Cemetery, Rockford, IL. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Coletta's of Illinois, 18350 Crossing Drive, Tinley Park, IL 60487 Attn: Development.
